craniosacral therapyCraniosacral therapy has its roots in cranial osteopathy, a gentle manual therapy developed by William Garner Sutherland, D.O. (1873 – 1954).

CST is a highly effective adjunctive treatment for many health conditions because it encourages the body’s own self-healing energies. It is particularly helpful with neck and back pain, headache, stress, fatigue, TMJ issues, fibromyalgia, and orthopedic problems. CST sessions are a wonderful way to maintain your health and vitality even if you are symptom-free!

The treatment is done over clothing while you recline on a comfortably padded massage table. The pressure used is generally not more than five grams (the weight of a nickel). Gentle techniques are applied to the whole body and bring about a state of deep calm and relaxation. When working with the head, these subtle maneuvers can release restrictions deep within the surrounding membranes of the brain and central nervous system.

We have over 24 years' experience practicing CST. Our primary studies were through the Upledger Institute. We find CST to be one of the most effective and gentle methods of treatment available today.
